This Book deals with the story or actual recording of the men of Easy Company lives'. Easy company was a platoon belonging to American Army prior to their involvement in the war. The reason for the title of this blog is to discuss the actual bonds between these men. They did not have the bonds of friends or of Brothers but had a specific bond. A bond of Comrades was born and molded by the training and experiences that each soldier shared with each other. They came too a point where they knew everything about one another. They knew about the life stories, the reasons for enlisting, their preferences, their characteristics. If one person coughed, they knew who it was. An interesting excerpt from this book is, "There is not a day that I do not thank Adolf Hitler for allowing me to be associated with the most talented and inspiring group that I have ever known."[p.22,]
Another part of this book that was interesting is how it explained the army's conception of 'chickenshit'. It stated that it referred to behavior that make military life harder than it needs to be. It is called this way because it is small minded and ignoble and takes trivial seriously."
